Breast Augmentation Surgery Patient Options – James E Vogel MD
In discussing the different options for breast augmentation with women there are three main topics that we need to discuss. The first is whether we place the implant above or below the muscle. The second option is the type of incision to use. Traditionally, we favor a periareolar incision or incision located in the crease. The other option is whether to use saline or silicon. All of these decisions are made based on the patient’s preference, what we think would work best for the individual patient, and their goals and expectations.
