Baltimore Business Journal interviewed Dr. James E. Vogel regarding the status of elective surgeries among several industries including dentists, eye centers and plastic surgery.

Dr. Vogel was selected as an expert commentator on the topic of sun damage from ABC’s Good Morning Maryland. In his interview, Dr. Vogel discusses how to avoid damage from summer sun. Also, how you can treat already damaged skin.

Dr. Vogel was selected as an expert commentator on the topic of hair restoration surgery by ABC News, 20/20. Among many topics covered, Dr. Vogel was asked to discuss methods patients can use to select a hair restoration surgeon, the current standards in the field, and his opinion regarding a series of cases that were under investigation which had been performed by a hair clinic in another state. Much of the information and questions Dr. Vogel responded to are covered in a section called “frequently asked questions about hair restoration surgery.”
In addition, Dr. Vogel has authored several articles in several professional journals for plastic surgeons detailing his techniques for correcting complications that can arise from poorly done transplants or transplants performed with older techniques. We have some exciting news!
Recently Dr. Vogel was voted by his colleagues as the new president of the Maryland State Society of Plastic Surgeons. The official name for the society is the John Staige Davis Society. John Staige Davis was a Johns Hopkins Plastic Surgeon who was the first Maryland practitioner to devote his entire career to plastic surgery. In addition John Staige Davis wrote the first American text book on plastic surgery. As the president of this society, Dr. Vogel recently got called to duty to attend a meeting in Annapolis to discuss some legislative issues regarding plastic surgery. This is a great honor for Dr. Vogel to be able to represent his plastic surgeon colleagues in the state.

Dr. Vogel was interviewed and photographed in the October ‘02 issue of People Magazine. A story was written describing different cosmetic surgical procedures and plastic surgeons throughout the nation. Dr. Vogel’s expertise in the area of cosmetic surgery and the willingness of his patient to be photographed and seen nationally were among the criteria for inclusion in the article.

Dr Vogel and our new office were recently featured in Northern Virginia and Baltimore Magazine when they did a feature on cosmetic surgery.
