This patient has a typical pattern of hair loss seen in women. Often women will maintain a hairline with increased density only to thin out in a rectangular area behind the hairline. The initial hair transplant is usually placed in the front region of the hair loss so that the new thicker hair can be combed back coveing the remaining uncovered areas.
