This patient had previous plug grafts performed and had an unnatural appearance. Also note that he had a previous attempt by another surgeon to correct the appearance by placing small grafts in front of the plug hair line. Obviously, this minimalist approach did not work. Correction of the plug appearance requires an aggressive approach, which in this patient included a direct linear excision of the pluggy hair line in it's entirety, additional plug reductions, and numerous follicular unit transplant grafts. The appearance here is approximately 8 months following the last of this patient's 3 procedures.
