Corrective Hair Transplants Case 1
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Treatment:
This 38 yo man had previously undergone a Juri flap to provide hair to his balding hairline. Another name for this flap is a temporal-parietal flap. The problems with this patients result are numerous but include hair which is angled in the wrong direction, a blunted temporal recession, and a straight unnatural hair line appearance. In addition he has had progressive hair loss behind the flap and needs hair coverage in that location as well. He was well suited for a linear excision of the anterior hair line and re-cycling of that removed hair into grafts for same day grafting to establish a new softer hair line. In a second procedure he underwent plug reduction to some remaining plugs and additional hair grafting to the hairline and frontal forelock. The final results are seen 8 months following the second session.
