Dr. James Vogel addresses some of the most frequently asked questions about non-surgical procedures available at his plastic surgery practice.

Baltimore, MD — To answer some of the most frequently asked questions about plastic surgery procedures, Baltimore plastic surgeon James E. Vogel, M.D., F.A.C.S. has created a video blog series on his practice’s website. These videos are meant to provide useful information for anyone considering cosmetic enhancement. To date, the series has addressed topics such as breast augmentation, body contouring, and facial rejuvenation.

His most recent blog post, titled “Common Questions About Non-Surgical Procedures,” addresses some common concerns of patients who want to learn more about treatments such as BOTOX® Cosmetic or dermal fillers. In the video, Dr. Vogel highlights that, in recent years, non-surgical procedures have actually become the area of cosmetic surgical practice that is growing the fastest – and that the treatment’s considerable benefits and limited to zero downtime are significant factors contributing to that growth.

Some of the common questions Dr. Vogel answers in his latest video include:

According to the Baltimore plastic surgeon, non-surgical treatments are not meant to replace surgical procedures, but rather provide patients with alternative options to obtain their desired results. Dr. Vogel states: “Though the effects of surgery are typically more dramatic, I recommend that my patients weigh the benefits, expense, and risks of each procedure. I can also help patients determine which option will best achieve their individual goals in a one-on-one consultation.”

Dr. Vogel explains that these videos are designed to help anyone considering plastic surgery or non-surgical cosmetic enhancement. He says he hopes viewers will be able to more clearly articulate their remaining concerns and treatment expectations in their initial consultation, helping to ensure the best possible outcome. He also believes that these FAQ videos are best used as an educational tool, and stresses that they are not meant to replace a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can create a custom-tailored treatment plan for each patient and his or her unique needs.
