Our plastic surgeons, James Vogel, MD and Carrie Houssock, MD, along with our nurse practitioner Lindsay, won the first place poster at the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) 27th annual World Congress meeting in Bangkok, Thailand! The award-winning poster presented the successful results of our work with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection therapy for hair restoration. The findings outlined in the poster support the claim that patients with androgenic alopecia can continue to benefit from a protocol of PRP/ACell injection therapy over a 24 month period. An impressive 92% of patients in our study who have received the PRP/ACell injection treatment protocol (some with additional treatment supplements of minoxidil and finasteride) have achieved good or excellent improvement in hair shaft diameter.
