Dr. James Vogel on New CoolSculpting® Procedure
Dr. James Vogel offers the innovative CoolSculpting® procedure to give patients a way to get rid of excess fat deposits without invasive liposuction surgery. CoolSculpting® can be very beneficial for people who need to get back to work and other daily routines immediately, as there is typically no downtime following the procedure. The procedure essentially works by cooling the fat cells in the target area and causing them to break down and filter out through natural processes. There are no needles or incisions involved. The optimal results from CoolSculpting® usually become apparent about three months after the procedure; however, you should notice the fat disappearing in the area within the first one to two months following treatment.
Although CoolSculpting® can be a very effective treatment, Dr. Vogel notes that some patients may not be candidates for the procedure, depending on the size and extent of the areas targeted for treatment and the patient’s ultimate goals. Whether you are a good candidate for CoolSculpting® will be determined at your consultation with Dr. Vogel. Generally, a good candidate is someone who is reasonably healthy and has local areas of fat that have been resistant to diet and exercise. Dr. Vogel says that if your health and goals align with what CoolSculpting® can offer, and a nonsurgical treatment is what you prefer, then the process can typically move forward. “The key to achieving satisfaction with the procedure is having realistic goals and expectations.”
While CoolSculpting® is often an effective fat reduction procedure, it affects each body differently and may not produce the dramatic results a patient anticipates. As a result, it is important you discuss your options with Dr. Vogel to determine which procedure is right for you and your goals. Our comprehensive collection of procedures provides alternatives that may prove more beneficial for your needs. Dr. Vogel will talk with you about all of your options and address any questions or concerns you may have.
